Editing for my Crocs Commercial

The editing process of my commercial was not too difficult. The total time it took to edit was about 30 minutes. I used iMovie to edit on my laptop and I begun my importing my footage onto my laptop. I organized the clips in the order I wanted the commercial to flow. I did not use all the clips I wanted to make sure I remained in the time limit. I watched all the footage back as I was editing to find the perfect clips to use for each part. For the parts of the commercial I did not want to use I cut the clip and merged the other pieces together. During the editing process I noticed that the time limit wasn't going over too much and I was on the right track. I wanted to add a little bit of calming music to the background of my video. In many Croc commercials there is a calm background music and I wanted to add that element to my commercial. I looked through all the sounds and music on iMovie and found a song fitting to the commercial. I then lowered the volume on the audio clip so it did not overpower the audio of the video. In the clip where my mother jumps and says she has on Crocs I pieced together a different clip and tried my best to make it flow so it was not too noticeable. I also added a little "magical sound" to my clip to highlight when I showed the crocs. I tried to cut the background audio so that audio clip would stand out. I added a clip of the close up on the Crocs so the video really captured them. In that scene I slowed down the image clip to get a good look at the shoes. I then added a black screen to the end of the video. I added the words #sharethelove to the end and made it fade out. I added this to add another element of Crocs commercials where they add hashtags or slogans across the screen at the end.
