Music Video Project (Walking on Sunshine)

 
        My group and I went through a very tedious process in the making of this video. I feel like some elements of the video could have been changed to produce a better product. As a group we should work on our teamwork. When assigning tasks to people in the group we should have been more careful in who got certain roles, it would have made the process much smoother. A lot of work goes into the completion of this music video. During the filming we had to navigate and create a plan for how we would proceed with the filming. We took many takes of certain scenes to ensure we had the best quality for our video. I think that is a very eye opening experience as we all experience what it is like to produce a video. The time limit made us mindful of how much content to shoot for each shot and it does help develop our awareness during filming. As a group we learned how to think outside of the box and to voice our creative ideas and opinions with other people. I can say we have learned from our mistakes and will use the information gathered to progress in our future assignments. This is the completed project of our "Walking on Sunshine" music video. From start to end it has been an eventful project. The ironic thing is that this process was the complete opposite of a walk on sunshine. During this we ran into several issues. We did not let that hinder us from succeeding. One thing that we could have done better is time management for our blogs. If we managed our time better and completed blogs days before they due it would've made things easier. Most of the time we waited to the night before to complete a blog which caused us unnecessary stress. A factor that led us to success was our determination and dedication. In every aspect we put our all in all. Everything from the setting to the camera angles was to the best of our ability. All in all we did a great job. Everyone in my group has little to no expect as actors, directors, and recorders. We were able to put those thoughts aside and create a masterpiece to best of our ability. This was an amazing experience to work with Jada, Eric, and Tiana and I would do it all over if I could.

Editing for my Crocs Commercial

 The editing process of my commercial was not too difficult. The total time it took to edit was about 30 minutes. I used iMovie to edit on my laptop and I begun my importing my footage onto my laptop. I organized the clips in the order I wanted the commercial to flow. I did not use all the clips I wanted to make sure I remained in the time limit. I watched all the footage back as I was editing to find the perfect clips to use for each part. For the parts of the commercial I did not want to use I cut the clip and merged the other pieces together. During the editing process I noticed that the time limit wasn't going over too much and I was on the right track. I wanted to add a little bit of calming music to the background of my video. In many Croc commercials there is a calm background music and I wanted to add that element to my commercial. Planning Title Blog

  The title of a film is very essential for various reasons.  After research  on various websites about titles and title sequences we were able to begin the process of deciding on a name. We kept in mind the information absorbed from those websites and integrated  that information into our final decision. The title of a film sets the mood for the film, gives overview, and allows the audience to create assumptions for the content.  We spent some time thinking about a movie tile that fits the content of our film. As of right now the title for our film is "The Workplace". We decided this title for our film based on a comedy series named "The Office". The comedy style in our film is very similar of "The Office". As stated before in previous blogs the movie is inspired from that show. Filming for my Crocs Commercial

     On Sunday November 1st I filmed my Crocs commercial. The person I originally wanted to film with was unable to come over and film so I just filmed with my mom instead.  During this process I directed the filming. I decided the positions my mother and I would stand in, and the dialogue we would use in the commercial. Before filming I cleared the yard of any signs that would get in the way of my video. I also played around with locations for the camera to sit to record. I gathered the football and soccer ball, the shoe box and crocs, and set up the camera in the front yard. I decided to film in the front yard of my house because I wanted to use the grass to play with the balls. This was the first option out of the two options I had for filming stated in my planning.
