Editing for the Music Video
The editing process of my music video was not too difficult. The total time it took to edit was about 30 minutes. I used iMovie to edit on my laptop and I begun my importing my footage onto my laptop. I organized the clips in the order I wanted the video to flow according to the story board. I did not use all the clips I wanted to make sure I remained in the time limit. We ended up cutting the first and last scene. The first scene was the group text messages that ended up leaving that out. We also cut the scene with crumbled paper at the end. I watched all the footage back as I was editing to find the perfect clips to use for each part. For the parts of the music video I did not want to use I cut the clip and merged the other pieces together. During the editing process I noticed that the time limit wasn't going over too much and I was on the right track. I needed to add the music to the background of the video. Editing went pretty fast. Finding the music and the right time took some time. The clips had to be cut a lot though. Even rendering didn’t take too long. There wasn’t any big problems editing was fairly easy. Overall, editing was a great experience because I was able to be be free and used my skills from the previous project in order to improve on this project.
